I started this experimental Illustration by playing with some typography, water effects, a couple animals, and some elements that are a little out of place but I think I was able to make fit in a nice way.
Overall it was just really fun, the illustration is a little “absurd” and pretty surreal, though I liked the final result.

Since some people seem to like the kites, and I’ve gotten a couple messages telling me how nice they are, I prepared a wallpaper so you can have them in your computer!!

Smashing Magazine's Showcase of Elegant and Original Blog Designs

So today I woke up with Awesome news… Turns out Smashing Magazine (yes!, smashing magazine) thinks my website is HOT! so it got featured at Smashing Magazine’s Showcase Of Elegant And Original Blog Designs!!! I’m very very happy about this recognition and great opportunity to show my work and thoughts with the world (and to get a couple contracts too? maybe?). Thanks a lot!!

I was surprised today, when I was searching me through google and I saw something related to “CssElite”, turns out my website was being featured in their best of the best CSS websites list!!
This amazing website features the best, most beautiful and hottest web designers sites out there built with Css, a couple of extra tools, hard work and lots of love!! LeBlœ.com was also featured in “CssWOW”, “CssMania”, “CssLoggia”, “MostInspired”, and “CssBrat”. I’m very happy and encouraged about this, Thanks!!

Illustrator Mesh

Some people would look at this pretty face and would say, wooow, she’s gorgeous!! definitely not real!! and I understand, it happened to me ;), but they’re right, she’s not!!, at least not this one, she’s a realistic vectorial illustration of the real, talented (and extremely hot!) french singer, Alizée… Still don’t believe it??, just click on her and you’ll see how meshed up she is.

The Ugly Duckling

This is the ugly duckling, one day he grew up and with the help of some make up, plastic surgery and photoshop became a beautiful swan, because of that he got featured in the “1 0 0 U N D E R 1 0 0 : v o l . 4″ news article in DeviantArt…  I had a lot of fun with this one, I was playing with some colors, lights and effects. 

And the winner (of the second place...) is!!

My good friend Diego told me one of those times he was struggling with lots of icons (cuz he just loves it), that there was a contest in DeviantArt inviting most of the latinamerican designers and artists to reproduce something inspired on the title “Hispanos por la Paz”, which means: Hispaniards for the peace, which means: latinamerica wants the brainless, pointless, senseless conflict to stop, which means…. anyway, I thought I would give it a try, it was inspired in the hispanic flag and this was the result, I really liked it and I wasn’t expecting it to get the second place (in the digital illustration category) but obviously I was really happy about it!! hope you like it!

Photoshop

Some people just can’t believe it when I say it, but I found this tree when I was walking in the forest the other day, I was so excited to see a tree!! with face!! that I immediatly took the picture cuz you don’t see that everyday! I talked with him for like an hour but he didn’t answer, I guess he was sleeping….  When I got home (starving and incredibly thirsty!) I told everybody but nobody believed me… they said I was acting weird, I guess I was still high…

Photoshop

This is Fantasy Island, an illustration made with random pictures from SXC, it’s the result of  a small ”competition” we made with Diego, or “Ashtra”. It was pretty challenging but incredibly fun to try and make a composition with random pictures with nothing in common with each other, I was impressed with the final result!!
